
Senior Payroll Specialist – US, Canada, LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Assist and manage comprehensive payroll operations across various countries and EOR partners.
• Examine payroll inputs, outputs, statutory contributions, invoices, and reports to ensure precision and thoroughness.
• Collaborate with payroll providers and internal teams to guarantee prompt payroll processing and salary payments.
• Help address payroll discrepancies, escalations, and employee inquiries swiftly and professionally.
• Aid in handling off-cycle payroll requests, adjustments, onboarding payroll readiness, and payroll-related documentation.
• Review payroll invoices and facilitate invoice processing with the Finance team and payroll partners.
• Serve as a primary operational contact to ensure employees are fully prepared before payroll processing begins.
• Manage onboarding-related payroll needs such as benefits enrollment, statutory registrations, insurance setup, banking information, tax documentation, and payroll profiles.
• Collaborate closely with Employee Onboarding/Offboarding, Lifecycle, and Global Mobility teams to facilitate seamless onboarding and lifecycle transitions.
• Support Commercial and Customer Success teams with payroll-related pre-sales inquiries and operational feasibility evaluations.
• Liaise with EOR partners regarding payroll timelines, pay frequencies, statutory costs, benefits, onboarding schedules, and payroll practices.
• Assist in ensuring prompt response times for client-facing payroll and operational requests.
• Contribute to the preparation of payroll-related operational insights, assumptions, and clarifications for quotations and client discussions.
• Work with Product and Operations teams to pinpoint opportunities for payroll process improvements and operational enhancements.
• Provide feedback on payroll workflows, onboarding processes, reporting needs, and automation possibilities based on operational experience.
• Participate in developing scalable payroll processes and internal knowledge documentation.
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll operations, EOR operations, HR operations, or global workforce management.
• Experience managing multi-country payroll or collaborating with EOR/payroll providers is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of payroll operations, onboarding coordination, and operational workflows.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Solutions-driven approach with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
• Comfortable working collaboratively across Operations, Finance, Product, Commercial, and with external vendors.
• Familiarity with payroll platforms, HRIS, or operational systems is an advantage.
