
Senior Payroll Associate – Ophthalmology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provides guidance and support to departmental supervisors regarding payroll-related matters.
• Manages payroll transactions for both academic and non-academic staff.
• Aids new hires in completing the necessary onboarding, payroll, and benefits documentation.
• May conduct general orientation sessions for newly hired employees.
• Oversees the completion of foreign national documentation and ensures compliance for visa requirements.
• Supports supervisors in the recruitment process, including job requisition submissions, PHS entries, and appointment screening.
• Might keep records of sick leave and vacation time for staff members.
• Prepares cost transfers and journal entries, making adjustments as needed.
• Maintains files related to personnel and payroll for the department.
• May assist supervisors with the documentation required for employee performance evaluations.
• May contribute to the annual budgeting process.
• Ensures the accuracy and completeness of PAR reports.
• Manages the academic bonus plan and faculty compensation structure.
• Education: An Associate degree or a combination of education and experience may fulfill the minimum educational requirement.
• Work Experience: Relevant experience of 3 years is required.
• Skills: Proficiency in Accounting, Accounting Systems, Business, Computer Literacy, Contracts, Grants Management, Strong Interpersonal Skills, Human Resources (HR) Software Systems, Lotus Applications, Microsoft Word, Operating Office Equipment, and Organizational Skills.
