Senior Parts Sales Manager

📋 Description

• Meet the parts orders and sales operational objectives.

• Oversee and take ownership of all Parts quoting activities throughout the sales process, which includes identifying opportunities, creating strategies, developing proposals, negotiating deals, closing orders, and managing OTR hand-off.

• Keep abreast of and communicate current knowledge regarding market trends related to Parts (technology, pricing, risks, etc.), customer needs, competitor actions, and customer demographics.

• Cultivate, enhance, and manage customer relationships within your designated coverage area to boost parts sales.

• Actively create a recommended Parts list during the outage pre-planning/pre-bid phase and assist LCT (Local Customer Team) and GESPI initiatives to increase emergent parts sales during outage events.

• Examine all anticipated outages, ensuring a comprehensive parts plan and strategy is established for each.

• Collaborate with the Region Pricing Leader to comprehend market dynamics and apply that understanding to market-level pricing for parts quotes.

• Serve as the regional authority on parts pricing guidelines and the price deviation process, facilitating and leading all approvals related to Parts.

• Provide prompt, accurate, and complete forecasts of Orders and Sales for the Parts segment by supporting the maintenance of opportunity pipelines in NEX.

• Act as the primary contact for all internal and external Parts-related matters, such as Customer Issue Resolution (CIR) cases involving Parts/NCRs.

• Support Sales, Commercial, and Regional Services teams in identifying opportunities for process and organizational enhancements, including backing LEAN activities to optimize parts fulfillment for both Inquiry To Order (ITO) and Order To Remittance (OTR) processes.

• Collaborate with GESPI sales managers, GESPI Repair sales managers, CSLs, and Field Engineers to meet customer parts needs, which facilitate repairs and/or field services.

• Assist application engineering as needed to maintain accurate and comprehensive unit records.

• Work closely with parts STM’s, vendors, and suppliers to ensure parts are delivered according to the agreement with the customer.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma/GED alongside a minimum of 8 years of experience in the Power Generation industry, focusing on marketing, sales, project management, or customer service within the Power Generation sector).

• At least 5 years of experience with and knowledge of Steam Turbine Technology products and services.

• Willingness and ability to work flexible and extended hours as required.

• Willingness and ability to travel to the designated customer base.

• Strong background in commercial activities.

• Substantial Field Engineering experience.

• Familiarity with computer systems such as Copics, RPDM, ERP, PLM, Pmax, and sBOM.

• Proven track record of successfully achieving operational plan targets in a commercial role.

• Established sales record and/or potential to thrive in a technical, relationship-oriented business environment.

• Proficient in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

• Ability to engage with individuals at all levels within both the customer and organization.

• Willingness to work independently (post-training) and demonstrate initiative.

• Competence in effectively managing time and adhering to budget/expense guidelines.

• Ability to manage and influence in a matrix organizational structure.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities.

• Collaborative team-oriented working style.

• Experience in customer service.
