This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Act as a technical sales expert for the Cisco brand, engaging with customers and partners.
• Deliver technical solutions that meet the business needs of customers and partners.
• Collaborate with account and connected sales teams to drive customer plans and ensure success.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for account teams and customers/partners.
• Cultivate technical relationships and enhance portfolio penetration through cross-selling and up-selling.
• Lead discussions with IT decision-makers and business lines.
• Convert customer and partner business needs into technical specifications.
• Create and present solutions based on identified technical and business requirements.
• Navigate deals through the technical sales process and oversee virtual support teams.
• Formulate multi-year strategic customer plans that incorporate Cisco’s offerings.
• Combine domain expertise with cross-architectural solutions.
• Develop technical strategies for senior executives and comprehensive cross-architecture solutions.
• Spearhead demand generation and enablement initiatives.
• Recognize latent customer needs and showcase cross-architecture solutions.
• Utilize competitive intelligence to highlight the advantages of Cisco solutions.
• Engage stakeholders to enhance customer relationships.
• Direct SE virtual and extended sales teams towards ongoing improvement.
• Organize educational programs and adapt strategies in response to market disruptions.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of proven experience in a pre-sales engineering role, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of proven experience in a pre-sales engineering role.
• Proven track record of building and nurturing strong customer and partner relationships.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in observability or security pre-sales.
• Familiarity with AI technologies.
• Knowledge of Cisco products and services.
• Relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• Background in a thought leadership capacity, including public speaking or writing technical blogs or whitepapers.
