Senior OT Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Assume a leadership position in the implementation of OT/IoT security initiatives, organizing project meetings, gathering project requirements, and managing client expectations, among other tasks.

• Perform hands-on assessments of OT/IoT system networks or products and evaluate the findings.

• Create recommendation reports that outline strategies for enhancing the security posture of OT networks or devices.

• Develop security policies, user requirements, system specifications, and proposed system architecture designs for OT networks, devices, and systems.

• Execute updated OT security architectures for clients.

• Engage in OT technical security testing activities.

• Communicate security requirements and potential enhancements to clients.

• Keep abreast of industry best practices and integrate them into your deliverables.

• Provide management consulting and organizational change management services to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in IT/OT security (experience in OT/IoT is essential).

• OT-specific certifications are highly preferred (such as GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443).

• Experience in OT security testing is strongly desired.

• Industry certifications from organizations like ISC2, ISA, SANS, ISACA, CompTIA, etc., are advantageous.

• Relevant experience in the Water, Energy, or Manufacturing sectors is a plus.

• Familiarity with industrial control systems and their distinctions from conventional IT environments.

• Understanding of specific OT/SCADA protocols (Modbus, ICCP, 61850, DNP, MQTT).

• Knowledge of associated security frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, etc.).

• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to convey abstract security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• An interest in public speaking and producing white papers is a plus.

• Experience with scripting languages (such as PowerShell, Perl, Python, etc.).

• Willingness to travel up to 25% for job-related activities.
