Senior Oracle Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Oracle environments 12c, 19c, and 21c.

• Proactively detect performance bottlenecks using AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports; optimize complex SQL queries and memory configurations.

• Oversee and sustain Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate for real-time data replication and disaster recovery solutions.

• Spearhead the migration of on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS (RDS/EC2), or Azure platforms.

• Implement and manage Autonomous Databases (ADW/ATP) and Exadata Cloud Service offerings.

• Employ Terraform or Ansible for automating database provisioning and configuration management tasks.

• Assist in designing scalable, multi-tenant architectures that align with the customer's long-term digital transformation objectives.

• Ensure all database services consistently meet or surpass defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Translate technical database concepts into business value for stakeholders effectively.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for significant production outages.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–8 years of specialized Oracle DBA experience, ideally within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or large-scale enterprise setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is mandatory; certifications in OCI Solutions Architect or Autonomous Database Specialist are highly preferred.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations during high-pressure migration scenarios.
