Senior Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and maintain the organization's database platforms, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Managed PostgreSQL, and InfluxDB.

• Guarantee the availability, reliability, and operational stability of both production and non-production systems.

• Manage and optimize database performance and capacity.

• Take ownership of database backup, recovery, and restoration processes.

• Monitor the overall health of databases and resolve operational issues as they arise.

• Implement and manage database changes, releases, and migrations effectively.

• Ensure database security and manage access controls diligently.

• Assist with DevOps-related database tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Proficient in administering and supporting SQL Server in self-hosted or on-premises settings.

• Experienced in managing SQL Server Managed Instance and Azure SQL within cloud environments.

• Skilled in administering and supporting Azure Managed PostgreSQL environments.

• Familiarity with InfluxDB or similar time-series database platforms.

• Competence in database performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of relational database administration principles.

• Knowledge of cloud database services across both on-premises and Azure-hosted platforms.

• Proficient in writing and debugging SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures.
