
Senior Operations Manager – DTC, Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Manage supplier partnerships across manufacturing, packaging, and labeling providers.
• Oversee purchasing, demand forecasting, and inventory management based on sales data, advertising expenditure, and consumer behavior.
• Track inventory levels and proactively handle replenishment to avert stock shortages.
• Develop backup supplier strategies and address operational risks effectively.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and consistently enhance pricing and commercial agreements.
• Maintain the relationship with our 3PL fulfillment partners while striving for continual operational enhancements.
• Supervise daily order processing to ensure seamless fulfillment operations.
• Optimize shipping expenses across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the broader EU.
• Spearhead fulfillment optimization and warehouse transition initiatives as necessary.
• Direct our Customer Support operations through the Customer Support Lead.
• Create, sustain, and refine customer support standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze ticket volumes, response times, and resolution rates.
• Make key operational decisions regarding refund policies and exceptional customer situations.
• Design and enhance cross-functional transitions between Operations, Growth, Customer Support, and external collaborators.
• Establish and maintain a structured vendor management database.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively introduce scalable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Founder during quarterly operational reviews and strategic planning sessions.
• Manage the operational planning and execution of new product introductions.
• Minimum of 3 years of Operations experience in a DTC E-Commerce environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing Supply Chain and 3PL fulfillment operations.
• Experience leading Customer Support teams or operations.
• Strong ownership mentality—you take initiative to understand, identify issues, and independently drive solutions.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience in spreadsheets, COGS models, and operational reporting.
• Familiarity with Shopify and operational tools like ClickUp (or Notion) and Gorgias (or Zendesk).
• Experience collaborating with suppliers, logistics partners, and operational processes in the DACH region.
• Capability to work autonomously without the need for micromanagement.
• Proficiency in English is required; German is a significant advantage.
