Logistics Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Implement daily logistics operations playbooks, utilizing independent judgment on the approximately 10% of cases that deviate from standard procedures.

• Obtain and evaluate freight brokerage quotes, weighing delivery timelines against costs to secure the optimal choice for each shipment.

• Communicate directly with freight brokers to confirm bookings, monitor shipments during transit, and address any delays.

• Reconcile inventory upon arrival, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders and manifests.

• Ensure timely inbounding at the warehouse by coordinating with warehouse teams to avoid processing bottlenecks.

• Check commercial invoices for accuracy on cross-border shipments prior to proceeding.

• Utilize working knowledge of HS codes to accurately classify shipments and prevent customs delays.

• Keep precise records in internal operations tools and calculators used for daily decision-making.

• Promptly and clearly flag any discrepancies, delays, or exceptions to the relevant internal team.

• Assist with ad hoc logistics projects and process enhancements as the business grows.

• Maintain a strong attention to detail and reliable throughput across all daily operational tasks.

• Experience in logistics, freight, or e-commerce operations (essential).

• Working knowledge of HS codes and customs classification (essential).

• Familiarity with commercial invoices and documentation for cross-border shipping (essential).

• Ability to independently manage daily operational playbooks, exercising judgment when necessary (essential).

• Strong detail orientation and consistent, reliable daily throughput (essential).

• Comfortable liaising directly with freight brokers and vendors (essential).

• Preferred experience in inventory reconciliation processes.

• Preferred experience with internal operations software, calculators, or WMS platforms.
