This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• The Senior Operations Associate is responsible for managing daily deposit activities, Real Time Payments, and EFT operations, including ACH and wire transfers.
• This position also contributes to process enhancement, operational projects, and the formulation and upkeep of policies and procedures.
• This individual plays a pivotal role in optimizing the use of systems, automation, and AI-assisted tools within Operations.
• The perfect candidate must possess the ability to learn swiftly, have a keen eye for detail, and feel at ease working with a variety of systems.
• They assist in coordinating and scheduling daily tasks associated with EFT, ACH, and wire processing and serve as a departmental contact when the Operations Manager is unavailable.
• They support initiatives related to electronic funds processes and member services.
• They engage in projects linked to system upgrades, service improvements, and process modifications while keeping their work up to date in project and ticketing tools that adopt Agile-inspired methodologies.
• They either lead or assist in process evaluations and testing, helping to translate insights into production updates.
• They identify high-volume, rules-based tasks suitable for automation, including via RPA and AI-supported workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to outline requirements, test solutions, and assess impact.
• A minimum of four years of transactional processing experience in a bank or credit union, with at least two years in a comparable Operations role; project experience is preferred, and supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in intermediate to advanced Excel (including lookups, pivot tables, and data cleansing) and comfort with data exports and dashboards; familiarity with basic data querying (e.g., SQL or BI tools) is preferred.
• Experience working with payment systems or RPA/automation tools (such as workflow engines, bots, scripting, or rules engines).
• Strong understanding of the rules and regulations governing transactional processing in financial institutions.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, decision-making, and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines accurately.
• A college degree is preferred.
