Senior Open Source Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• You will create innovative technologies within Falco, OSS Sysdig, their libraries, and our Open Source initiatives.

• You will play a role as a contributor and potentially a maintainer of these open source initiatives.

• You will assist users and adopters in becoming familiar with these tools and help resolve reported issues.

• You will be tasked with managing releases and working on contemporary automation practices.

• You will interact with the community through Slack and GitHub, attend conferences like Kubecon, deliver technical presentations, and write articles on open source technologies, including the Linux kernel, Falco, and Sysdig.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in the cloud native or security sectors.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Proficient programming skills in the following languages: C/C++, Golang, Rust.

• Experience contributing to open source projects.

• Familiarity with Linux, eBPF, Containers, and Kubernetes.
