
Senior Oncology Sales Specialist – Upstate New York

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Promote existing and prospective oncology therapeutics while executing sales strategies.
• Exhibit expertise in product clinical effectiveness and offer clinical assistance and information.
• Meet and exceed sales quotas and objectives.
• Perform business analysis and seek out new opportunities within the designated territory.
• Collaborate with the District Manager to formulate account strategies aimed at boosting sales.
• Identify key accounts and healthcare professionals, and devise territory penetration plans.
• Create tailored pre- and post-call plans for customers.
• Foster customer loyalty and build new relationships.
• Persuade decision-makers using targeted sales communication grounded in accurate clinical data.
• Utilize approved sales and marketing resources while implementing local marketing initiatives.
• Work alongside members and counterparts from the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine team.
• Stay informed about specialty products, clinical and technical data, health economics, reimbursement, managed care, and specialty pharmacies.
• Comprehend the healthcare delivery system and identify key personnel within assigned accounts.
• Participate in mandatory sales meetings and complete necessary training.
• Oversee healthcare compliance, expense documentation, call reporting, and other administrative duties.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Experience in oncology specialty sales and/or major hospital account sales is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required, including overnight and weekend trips.
• At least three years of direct selling experience in pharmaceuticals or biologics/biotech, demonstrating documented sales success and target achievement, or relevant clinical experience.
• Experience in selling to hospitals and large accounts.
• Familiarity with complex reimbursement and managed care dynamics is essential.
• Proven successful sales performance in a competitive landscape.
• Strong skills in relationship building and an ability to recognize key decision-makers.
• High motivation to achieve and surpass goals.
• Must reside in the designated geography or be open to relocating.
• Proficiency in utilizing virtual technology for customer engagement in virtual face-to-face interactions.
• Preferred experience in hematology and/or rare disease specialty sales.
• Understanding of the Oncology market is preferred.
• Previous experience with product launches in highly competitive settings is preferred.
• Experience with Multiple Myeloma is preferred.
