Senior Observability Consultant, Grafana Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design technical observability solutions based on guidelines established by the architecture team.

• Implement and automate the deployment of agents such as: Grafana Alloy, OpenTelemetry Collector, and Prometheus exporters.

• Configure platforms and components: Prometheus / Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Datasources, and alerting in Grafana Cloud or OSS.

• Build technical and executive dashboards for enterprise monitoring.

• Set up alert rules and integrations with: Microsoft Teams, Slack, Email, and Webhooks.

• Participate in pilot cases related to: APM, Infrastructure, Networking, and Databases.

• Generate comprehensive technical documentation: Architectures, Runbooks, and reusable templates.

• Lead knowledge transfer sessions with the client's technical teams.

• Engage in acceptance testing and technical validations with stakeholders.

• Manage and triage P1–P4 tickets.

• Escalate technical issues to Grafana Labs when necessary.

• Conduct monthly operational health checks.

• Prepare executive observability reports.

• Take part in technical proposals and effort estimations.

• Create reusable assets for future projects.

• Share best practices and learnings with the internal team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience working with **Grafana** (Cloud or OSS) in production environments.

• Strong experience in building: **Dashboards, Alerting, Datasources, Variables, and RBAC**.

• More than 4 years managing **Linux**: Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS.

• Over 3 years managing **Windows Server and scripting with PowerShell**.

• Experience with: **Prometheus + PromQL**, Loki + LogQL, OpenTelemetry, and deployment automation.

• Background in **consulting projects** or direct work with enterprise clients.
