Senior NX CAD Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior subject matter authority on Siemens NX CAD and best practices associated with NX.

• Investigate and utilize AI to create innovative solutions that enhance engineering workflows and improve customer results.

• Participate in automation and customization projects using NX Open, journaling, scripting, and related technologies.

• Engage in presales efforts, including discovery meetings, technical presentations, demonstrations, solution development, and proposal creation.

• Assume technical responsibility for customer interactions, coordinating activities, resolving issues, and ensuring successful results.

• Collaborate with experts across PLM, software development, simulation, manufacturing, and AI to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.

• Establish trusted relationships with customers, comprehend engineering challenges, and proactively seek solutions.

• Provide NX CAD consulting services and technical training.

• Guide and support engineers involved in NX-related projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of industrial experience with Siemens NX CAD, encompassing product design, configuration, and administration of NX environments.

• A keen interest in implementing AI and emerging technologies within engineering and product development processes.

• Proven experience working directly with customers or internal engineering teams in roles such as consulting, application engineering, or technical support.

• Capability to troubleshoot intricate issues that exceed typical user-level functionality.

• Proficiency in addressing unfamiliar technical problems.

• Strong sense of ownership, able to guide a customer issue from initial conversation to resolution.

• Experience leading technical initiatives, work packages, or customer projects.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Capacity to establish credibility with technical experts and customer representatives.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites when necessary.

• Nice to have: experience with NX Open, NX journaling, or NX automation/customization.

• Nice to have: scripting or programming skills in languages such as Python, TCL, C#, or C++.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Teamcenter or other PLM systems.

• Nice to have: experience with NX CAM, NX Post Builder, Siemens Post Configurator, or similar manufacturing tools.

• Nice to have: experience with Solid Edge or other commercial CAD platforms.

• Nice to have: experience in delivering or supporting design automation solutions.

• Nice to have: experience mentoring engineers or informally leading technical teams.

• Nice to have: exposure to additive manufacturing or other advanced manufacturing technologies.
