This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.
• Oversee the design and integration of SC1/Class 1E (safety-related) along with SC2 and SC3 electrical systems, which include both Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution.
• Conduct intricate electrical analyses such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, and protective relay coordination utilizing ETAP software, adhering to ANSI / IEC standards.
• Create electrical engineering deliverables including Requirements Specifications, Electrical Load Lists, One-lines, Calculations, Schematics, and 3-Line diagrams.
• Guarantee that all deliverables meet specifications, remain within budget, and are completed on schedule.
• Formulate comprehensive procurement specifications for key components such as main transformers, switchgear, diesel generators, and UPS systems while collaborating with suppliers.
• Navigate through regulatory requirements (CA-CNSC and US-NRC), assist in licensing processes, and ensure all designs comply with nuclear-specific standards.
• Coordinate with transmission providers to manage Generator Interconnection Agreements and ensure compliance with grid stability requirements.
• Apply relevant codes and standards for electrical systems design in the US and Canada (e.g., IEEE, IEC, CSA, and NEC) as well as in the European Union (e.g., IEC, EU).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional Engineering License: US (PE) or CA (PEng) or an equivalent international credential.
• Over 7 years of experience in high-reliability industries such as nuclear, power, process, marine, oil & gas, military, etc.
• Proficient in PC and productivity software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio).
