Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Design Dry-Type Transformers and Reactors for both low and high power applications, ranging from 1VA to 1.6 MVA at low frequencies (less than 400Hz).

• Take charge of new product designs and provide cost estimates.

• Organize and manage design project timelines effectively.

• Systematically document and maintain product design records while adhering to established guidelines.

• Offer technical support to Customers, Technical Sales, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams.

• Ensure designs comply with Agency requirements, internal quality standards, and manufacturing practices.

• Guarantee product quality by developing effective electrical testing methods for manufacturing processes.

• Supervise prototyping initiatives in collaboration with manufacturing and vendors when necessary.

• Lead electrical design tasks for new products and enhance existing products to help ACME maintain a competitive cost advantage.

• Collaborate directly with the manufacturing team to address production challenges.

• Generate development and production drawings using SolidWorks.

• Create Bills of Material and Routings for products in SAP.

• Revise Engineering documentation as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent relevant engineering background.

• Significant experience in designing Power Distribution Unit (PDU) transformers specifically for data center applications.

• Familiarity with Transformer Design software such as OPS, Ansoft, or similar programs.

• Knowledge of UL/CSA and NEMA transformer standards is preferred.

• Ability to read and generate detailed technical wiring diagrams, schematics, and bills of materials.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
