Field Engineer – Instrumentation and Electrical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, fabrication, vendors, and commissioning teams.

• Install, inspect, and commission field instrumentation, which includes control valves, actuators, and analytical instrumentation.

• Provide support for PLC-based control systems and assist with the validation of HMI/SCADA systems.

• Coordinate efforts with process, mechanical, and I&C engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in the oil & gas, LNG, industrial gas, or process industries.

• A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or a related field.

• Extensive hands-on experience with instrument calibration, loop checking, PLC-based systems, and rotating equipment packages.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings.

• Knowledgeable about EPC project workflows and field execution practices.
