Senior NonStop Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance current NonStop systems to guarantee continuous 24x7 operation, including client connectivity.

• Spearhead the planning and execution of major software releases for Guardian OS, networking, and other critical applications.

• Evaluate and implement security solutions and configurations for the platform.

• Assist in the deployment of technology architecture and holistic system solutions.

• Detect system performance issues and suggest enhancements for efficiency.

• Conduct technical research and analysis to evaluate system performance and capacity.

• Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the entire infrastructure.

• Engage in daily continuous improvements on NonStop servers and off-platform servers, including Splunk, Prognosis, Moogsoft, ServicePoint, SharePoint, and BackPak servers, databases, user security, and data security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience with Guardian OS, NonStop SQL, and NonStop hardware platforms.

• More than 5 years of experience in end-to-end configuration of systems within the NonStop platform.

• At least 5 years of experience with SQL, Guardian/OSS, NonStop Web Services (SOAP), and XML or JSON.

• A Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, or professional experience.

• Proficiency in NonStop Security.

• Knowledge of encryption and key management.

• Familiarity with NS7X technology (X-Series).

• Experience in a large-scale enterprise-level environment.

• Capability to operate a computer and audio equipment.

• Willingness to be on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.
