Senior Node.js Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance microservices dedicated to the processing and dissemination of clinical and laboratory data.

• Create integrations between internal systems and external partners.

• Develop REST APIs for accessing and managing patient information and consent.

• Implement asynchronous processing workflows utilizing AWS SQS and SNS.

• Engage in the advancement of the platform's event-driven architecture.

• Work with data transformation and processing in accordance with the FHIR standard.

• Create integrations with MongoDB, Redis, and third-party services.

• Ensure quality through automated testing and code reviews.

• Conduct troubleshooting of distributed systems and analyze production incidents.

• Take part in technical specifications and architectural decisions for platform services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve product and integration processes.

• Contribute to the observability, monitoring, and performance optimization of services.

• Proficiency in Node.js

• Experience with TypeScript

• Skills in REST API development

• Understanding of microservices architecture

• Ability to design and consume REST integrations

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and distributed processing

• Experience with automated testing (both unit and integration)

• Familiarity with SOLID principles and Clean Code practices

• Adherence to software engineering best practices

• Experience with the FHIR standard

• Awareness of healthcare system integration

• Background in clinical and laboratory interoperability

• Proficiency in NestJS

• Knowledge of Fastify

• Experience with Express

• Familiarity with Kubernetes

• Understanding of OpenTelemetry

• Experience with event-driven architectures

• Knowledge of AWS S3

• Familiarity with Keycloak

• Experience with integrations involving authentication and authorization APIs

• Experience with mission-critical systems and managing high-volume data

• Knowledge of LGPD (Brazilian Data Protection Law) and handling of sensitive data

• Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms
