Senior Node.js Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain scalable web applications with an emphasis on backend development (Node.js).

• Design and enhance software architectures, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and security.

• Create and utilize APIs, adhering to best practices for integration and HTTP communication.

• Model and oversee relational databases (SQL) and file storage solutions (e.g., S3).

• Address complex challenges through analytical reasoning and informed technical decision-making.

• Implement and uphold automated testing to guarantee code quality and dependability.

• Contribute to the development and advancement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Operate within cloud environments (AWS or similar), aiding in infrastructure and scalability decisions.

• Collaborate with diverse teams (product, design, engineering) to deliver effective solutions.

• Actively engage in the continuous enhancement of processes, tools, and engineering best practices.

• Participate in cross-functional areas such as frontend, DevOps, and security as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Node.js.

• Strong understanding of Software Architecture and software engineering best practices.

• Experience in developing web systems and creating/consuming APIs (HTTP).

• Proficient in relational databases (SQL).

• Familiarity with file storage solutions (e.g., S3).

• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or other cloud providers).

• Knowledge of automated testing and the testing pyramid.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong analytical skills, logical reasoning, and decision-making abilities.

• Generalist profile with interests spanning various areas of Software Engineering (backend, frontend, DevOps, security, processes, and tools).
