Senior Nodal Advisory Consultant, Renewable Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance Hitachi Energy's strategic consulting expertise within the renewable developer sector by providing best practice consulting advice.

• Establish relationships with clients at a senior level and collaborate with them on strategic initiatives while offering coaching.

• Offer valuable insights to Hitachi Energy product managers to inform improvements and future roadmaps.

• Support complex consulting projects, which include modeling renewable assets, energy storage solutions, and hybrid resources.

• Develop updates for Nodal Simulation Ready Dates and assist with PROMOD-related modeling activities.

• Prepare results and reports for external clients and effectively present findings.

• Conduct load flow analyses and contingency studies.

• Monitor extensive datasets and participate in production cost modeling.

• Create long-term projections for energy prices, capacity, renewable energy credits, and ancillary services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in engineering, economics, operations research, energy science, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in performing PROMOD Production Simulation Modeling is necessary.

• At least 1 year of experience in each of the following areas is required:

• Analyzing power flow data for modeling electric transmission networks.

• Evaluating electrical transmission circuits and their impact on energy flows within transmission networks.

• Assessing electrical transmission limits, constraints, outages, and contingencies for modeling electric transmission networks.

• Reading and interpreting one-line diagrams for electric circuits.

• Utilizing Python and MS Excel to collect, organize, and process large datasets.

• Programming data analysis and visualization tools using Python.

• Analyzing datasets that are used for modeling electricity markets and electric power networks with MS Excel.
