Senior Network Engineer – Secret Clearance Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN environments.

• Provide support for Cisco network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS solutions.

• Act as the regional technical lead for network operations, configuration management, and overall network performance.

• Identify and resolve complex network issues utilizing SolarWinds Orion, ARMIS, Ansible, and other network management tools.

• Configure and support various routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRRP, and RSTP.

• Create and maintain network standards, documentation, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with government personnel and technical teams to ensure secure and highly available network operations.

• Support network security initiatives and the implementation of Zero Trust architecture.

• Travel as needed to support subordinate positions at different contract locations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or technical/vocational education with 10+ years of directly related experience.

• Active Secret Security Clearance.

• DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification or equivalent.

• CISSP certification is required.

• CCNP certification is required.

• Proficiency in Cisco Enterprise Networking.

• Experience in LAN/WLAN/WAN Engineering.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS.

• Familiarity with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VRRP.

• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and UNIX.

• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and IDS.

• Proficiency in SolarWinds Orion.

• Experience with ARMIS.

• Familiarity with Ansible.

• Network Security & Zero Trust experience preferred.

• Experience with DoD Healthcare Information Systems is preferred.

• Experience in enterprise network monitoring and performance management is preferred.

• Familiarity with optical and cable testing tools (OTDR, cable testers, network analyzers) is preferred.

• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and cybersecurity best practices is preferred.
