Senior Network Engineer – DGX Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture and design of NVIDIA's global backbone network, which encompasses inter-DC connectivity, POP design, long-haul optical transport, and peering strategies.

• Manage, implement, and troubleshoot the entire backbone network stack, from the optical layer to IP/MPLS and traffic engineering.

• Automate the backbone network infrastructure comprehensively, including circuit provisioning, capacity management, monitoring, and failure detection.

• Develop, construct, and manage a highly reliable, scalable, and efficient backbone network that connects NVIDIA's global data centers, offices, and cloud environments.

• Engineer optimized fiber paths and intelligent traffic routing specifically for NVIDIA's DGX Cloud AI-training and research platform.

• Provide infrastructure support for AI training clusters, GPU compute fabrics, and software development pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of large-scale backbone networking technologies and protocols, such as MPLS, SR-MPLS, BGP-LU, RSVP-TE, IS-IS, OSPF, MP-BGP, BFD, QoS, MACsec, and IPFIX/NetFlow.

• Practical experience with backbone interconnect and optical transport technologies, including DWDM, coherent optics, passive and active optical networking, OTN, and 400G/800G long-haul circuits.

• Extensive experience with peering and internet exchange, including PNI, transit provider management, IXP connectivity, and BGP policy and traffic engineering at scale.

• Proficiency in writing and understanding Python/Shell scripts and programs for automation, tooling, capacity planning dashboards, and network alerting.

• Strong familiarity with backbone-class routing platforms such as Juniper MX/PTX, Cisco ASR/NCS, or other equivalent carrier-grade systems.

• Experience in architecting, building, and operating a backbone or WAN network that spans multiple continents and serves thousands of machines and millions of traffic flows.

• Hands-on experience with high-performance network optimization in highly-available, large-scale, multisite, international environments.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with a significant focus on backbone/WAN or carrier-grade environments.

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred qualifications include tooling and automation for backbone provisioning, real-time monitoring, and capacity management; experience in hyperscaler or major ISP/carrier-scale networking; traffic engineering and ECMP optimization; as well as knowledge in segment routing, intent-based networking, or AIOps.
