Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide enterprise network solutions for various customer projects and programs.

• Assist in technical discovery workshops to gather customer requirements and assess existing environments.

• Contribute to and create both high-level and low-level network designs.

• Lead and carry out implementation tasks both remotely and at customer locations.

• Diagnose intricate network and firewall issues across multi-vendor environments.

• Offer technical assurance during critical delivery milestones, including migrations, transitions, and go-lives.

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Programme Leads to ensure successful project execution.

• Work with internal teams, including Microsoft Practice, Managed Services, and Service Transition.

• Facilitate documentation, knowledge transfer, and handover processes to support teams.

• Assist with pre-sales initiatives and solution development as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, such as LAN, WAN, and WLAN.

• Solid understanding of routing and switching concepts, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and segmentation.

• Familiarity with modern network architectures like VXLAN and EVPN.

• Good grasp of network security principles and firewall technologies.

• Practical experience in implementing and troubleshooting multi-vendor network environments.

• Ability to work with and contribute to high-level designs (HLDs) and low-level designs (LLDs).

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities in live customer settings.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proven track record of delivering network solutions in a Professional Services or project delivery context.

• Significant hands-on experience with at least two of the following vendors: Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, Palo Alto Networks, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (Aruba), Cato Networks.

• Experience in data center networking and fabric-based solutions (Desirable).

• Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid connectivity models (Desirable).

• Familiarity with NAC technologies like Aruba ClearPass (Desirable).

• Awareness of SASE and cloud-delivered networking solutions (Desirable).

• Experience supporting pre-sales and solution design activities (Desirable).

• Background in delivering large-scale or multi-site transformation projects (Desirable).

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, PCNSE, or Aruba certifications (Desirable).

• Experience working in secure or regulated environments, including defense, government, or nuclear sectors (Desirable).
