This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate, design, implement, enhance, and troubleshoot secure network infrastructures for federal clients, primarily utilizing Fortinet technologies.
• Convert intricate technical specifications into scalable architectures based on Fortinet, along with comprehensive implementation plans and operational suggestions.
• Assist in customer interactions throughout the phases of discovery, solution validation, configuration, migration planning, deployment, documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation optimization.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions with federal clients to grasp mission requirements, network architecture, security posture, limitations, and modernization goals.
• Create network and security designs based on Fortinet that are in line with customer expectations and federal operational standards.
• Set up, deploy, verify, and enhance Fortinet solutions encompassing firewall, switching, wireless, VPN, SD-WAN, segmentation, authentication, logging, and centralized management.
• Resolve intricate issues related to routing, switching, firewall policies, VPN, high availability, SD-WAN, and Fortinet Security Fabric.
• Generate implementation plans, configuration guides, migration plans, diagrams, as-built documentation, and knowledge transfer resources.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams on Fortinet-centric solutions for federal clients, including validation, demonstrations, proof-of-concept planning, and technical responses.
• Provide guidance to clients on network modernization, Zero Trust network access, secure SD-WAN, segmentation, cloud connectivity, and security operations.
• Work alongside Fortinet and other vendor partners to validate architectures, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure recommendations align with product capabilities and client outcomes.
• Experience with Federal Civilian, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or the public sector.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient/EMS, FortiAuthenticator, FortiNAC, FortiWeb, FortiSandbox, and Fortinet Security Fabric.
• Capability to design, implement, migrate, and troubleshoot next-generation firewall policies, NAT, UTM profiles, IPS, application control, SSL inspection, routing, and high availability.
• Experience in designing and supporting Fortinet secure SD-WAN, IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, remote access, multi-site connectivity, and resilient WAN architectures.
• Strong comprehension of routing protocols, switching, VLANs, segmentation, wireless architectures, NAC, QoS, and troubleshooting for enterprise/federal networks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical workshops, develop implementation plans, manage migrations, conduct knowledge transfer, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience or familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Dell, HPE/Aruba, VMware, Microsoft, and Red Hat is advantageous.
