Senior Narrative Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Design and Narrative teams to create interactive game systems focused on narrative delivery.

• Implement narrative content utilizing Unreal Engine 5.

• Engage in cross-disciplinary pods to deliver engaging narrative experiences.

• Develop and articulate creative and user experience guidelines.

• Contribute to narrative processes and pipelines alongside the production team.

• Update content developers and writers on progress, workflows, and the availability of game features.

• Collaborate daily with teams across global development locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in game development or a related field.

• At least one AAA title credited as a Narrative Designer, Quest Designer, or Level Designer.

• Proficiency in game engines is required; experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5 is preferred.

• Experience with visual scripting is preferred.

• Ability to optimize the value of existing narrative systems.

• Excellent understanding of interactive storytelling methodologies.

• Familiarity with the current gaming industry development landscape, technologies, and tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and autonomously.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Capability to provide and accept constructive feedback, as well as iterate on solutions.

• Flexibility to adapt to creative or production constraints.

• Candidates must be from the gaming industry and reside in Canada.
