Senior Monitoring/Observability Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive the technical strategy and design solutions for enterprise monitoring platforms and their integrations.

• Establish implementation patterns for telemetry ingestion, alerting, dashboarding, and ITSM integration with ServiceNow and CMDB.

• Create architecture artifacts and set technical standards.

• Support technical strategies and architectures for solutions that span the entire system.

• Offer technical leadership for large-scale projects at department, workgroup, or enterprise systems levels.

• Guide team members, third parties, and technology partners in implementing architectural solutions.

• Cultivate organizational rapport, confidence, and trust while representing Makpar.

• Review and document solutions post-project completion and present findings to senior management.

• Provide insights on IT issues and trends, recommending solutions aligned with customer business objectives.

• Conduct comprehensive technical needs analyses for customer systems and assess existing system infrastructures.

• Assist with proposal and bidding strategies, ensuring proposals meet technical integrity, quality, and consistency standards.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer between Makpar and clients.

• Collaborate with the project/program manager to ensure timely, effective, and profitable project delivery.

• Address tactical challenges and support customers throughout the solution and implementation process.

• Stay updated on industry and technology trends in monitoring and observability.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in enterprise monitoring, observability, or APM engineering, including architecture and integration tasks.

• Extensive experience across various industries delivering complex solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and third-party partners through intricate architecture implementations.

• Strong skills in presentation and stakeholder management.

• Experience in briefing senior leadership about solution designs and project results.

• Experience in developing proposals and bidding strategies for large-scale, enterprise-level projects.

• Practical experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, or the Elastic Stack (optional or preferred).

• Experience in integrating monitoring solutions with ServiceNow and CMDB (optional or preferred).
