This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and implement the mobile test automation strategy; collaborate with architects and embedded teams to enhance testing at the system, subsystem, and integration levels (unit/component tests will remain with partner development teams).
• Take ownership of our Python, pytest, and Appium framework; facilitate Android and iOS tests on actual devices within our in-house farm with parallel execution capabilities.
• Create and manage GitLab CI pipelines for the test suite, focusing on runner sizing, reporting, retries, and flake management.
• Incorporate AI-assisted tools into the workflow; engage daily with AI coding assistants to expedite test authoring and framework development, while promoting adoption across the QA team.
• Evaluate test outcomes (Allure, HTML reports) and work alongside developers to identify, resolve, and retest defects, especially concerning audio features (ANC, Transparency, EQ, hot words, voice control).
• Create and maintain test specifications; conduct both automated and exploratory tests; propel continuous improvement.
• Over 5 years of experience in mobile app testing and/or development (Android and iOS).
• Proficient in Python with practical experience in pytest and Appium.
• Familiarity with white-label/multi-brand applications; adept at managing brand-specific configurations, assets, and variants from a shared codebase, while structuring tests to scale across partner builds without redundancy.
• Experience executing tests on real device farms or remote devices (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, or in-house) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab).
• Proficient in AI-enhanced workflows: actively utilize AI coding assistants for test development, debugging, and framework tasks, and can articulate their advantages and limitations.
• Experience or a strong interest in applying AI in testing: familiarity with LLMs/agents for test generation, flake triage, log analysis, exploratory testing, or self-healing locators.
• Bonus: background in testing audio, Bluetooth, or consumer products adjacent to embedded systems (e.g., ANC, codecs, BLE pairing, firmware/app interaction).
• Engage in a project that is highly technically demanding and will revolutionize audio consumption.
• Enhance your automation skills by working in an innovative and transformative environment alongside many Senior Engineers.
• Opportunity to provide an exceptional experience to over 25 million users in the next 12 months (current user base exceeds 10 million).
• Flexible online Learning & Development program: select areas for personal improvement.
• Ten professional coaching sessions with experts to support your personal and professional growth.
• If you are based in Munich and prefer to work from the office, enjoy onsite benefits such as breakfast and lunch, along with regular social events.
• For remote team members, a variety of virtual activities are available.
• Work from the location that suits you best.
