Senior Mobile Software Engineer – iOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design innovative features for the Olo app and realize the post-MVP vision.

• Collect feedback from an expanding user base and address reported issues.

• Assist in the planning of the app feature roadmap.

• Offer insights into the direction of the iOS and Android codebases.

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

• Contribute to the technical decision-making process.

• Prioritize and address technical debt through system enhancements and refactoring.

• Manage complex features and projects from inception to delivery.

• Conduct code reviews and enhance code quality.

• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to refine project requirements.

• Deliver dependable, maintainable software with optimizations for performance and resilience.

• Monitor and uphold production services while resolving critical issues.

• Engage in the architecture and design of distributed systems.

• Enhance development processes, tools, and automation.

• Ensure consistency and quality across shared components and APIs.

• Facilitate learning sessions and contribute to the team's knowledge repository.

• Integrate Claude Code into daily workflows and develop AI coding expertise.

• Oversee the delivery pipeline, testing standards, and deployment methodologies.

• Participate in on-call responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a specific focus on native mobile development.

• Advanced skills in native iOS mobile development using Swift.

• Experience in independently designing and implementing complex algorithms and architectures.

• Proficiency in managing and enhancing CI/CD processes, including familiarity with tools like GitHub Actions.

• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Strong emphasis on automation for both testing and deployment processes.

• Leadership capabilities, including mentoring peers, leading technical discussions, and fostering cross-team collaboration.
