Senior Mobile Software Developer

📋 Description

• Modernize a large-scale production React Native application

• Design dependable offline-first mobile experiences

• Develop Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integrations with connected devices

• Enhance application performance, synchronization, and reliability

• Shape architecture and engineering standards

• Mentor fellow developers and provide technical guidance

• Collaborate directly with customers to comprehend real-world workflows and create solutions

• Design, develop, test, and uphold features of the React Native application

• Create reliable mobile experiences that function seamlessly both online and offline

• Design and refine local data storage and synchronization capabilities

• Contribute to the application's architecture, scalability, and long-term technical direction

• Work alongside Product, UX, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions

• Take part in code reviews and guide junior developers

• Consistently improve engineering practices, code quality, and team efficiency

• Occasionally visit customer farms to gain insights into user workflows and identify innovation opportunities

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in mobile application development, with a strong focus on React Native

• Proven experience in designing and creating scalable, maintainable mobile applications using sound software architecture and engineering best practices

• Proven capability in developing applications that accommodate intermittent or offline connectivity, including local databases and mobile synchronization strategies

• Experience integrating Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or comparable hardware/device communication into mobile applications

• Native Android or iOS development experience is advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile software development environments utilizing Jira, Gitflow, and modern CI/CD practices

• Demonstrated skill in mentoring developers, leading technical initiatives, and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams

• A keen interest in learning about agriculture and utilizing technology to enhance farm operations

• This position entails up to 10% travel, including occasional visits to customer dairy farms
