This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Evaluate the completion of tutorials, player drop-off rates, time taken to reach meaningful gameplay, initial game difficulty, comprehension of core mechanics, and the assimilation of early complexity.
• Determine the optimal timing for introducing elements in the early player experience.
• Analyze currencies, progression systems, sinks, faucets, and the overall balance of power.
• Examine the pace of progression, currency generation and expenditure, resource scarcity, progression barriers, player demand, perceived value, power advancement, competitive fairness, risks of pay-to-win mechanics, and long-term progression objectives.
• Design a monetization framework that effectively supports the mobile game.
• Review first-purchase strategies, offer designs and sequences, pricing strategies, regional pricing variations, payer segmentation, conversion rates, battle pass feasibility, rewarded advertisements, monetization placement, and spending ladders.
• Assess the depth of the core loop, match quality, perceived fairness, short-, medium-, and long-term objectives, motivation for progression and collection, engagement loops, events, content release schedules, LiveOps opportunities, player churn, and return behavior.
• Make trade-offs between monetization, competitive fairness, retention, progression, matchmaking, engagement, and spending.
• Utilize real player data to inform decisions, implement changes, and evaluate results.
• Transform analysis into actionable product recommendations.
• Collaborate across product management, game design, economy, analytics, and LiveOps teams.
• Extensive experience in live free-to-play mobile gaming.
• Profound practical understanding of game economies and progression mechanics.
• Strong grasp of monetization strategies and retention techniques.
• Proven experience in making economic, balance, progression, or monetization decisions for a live mobile title.
• Capability to analyze raw player and product data directly.
• In-depth understanding of cohorts, funnels, retention metrics, conversion rates, and player behavior.
• Good judgment regarding when data supports conclusions and when it does not.
• Experience in translating analysis into clear product recommendations.
• Strong awareness of competitive integrity and pay-to-win risks.
• Ability to work collaboratively across product, game design, economy, analytics, and LiveOps teams.
• Proficient written and spoken English skills.
• Experience with MOBA games (preferred).
• Background in competitive PvP gaming (preferred).
• Familiarity with mobile soft-launches (preferred).
• Experience with paid user acquisition-driven mobile games (preferred).
• Knowledge of battle passes, offers, LiveOps, or rewarded advertising (preferred).
