This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Propel revenue growth and enhance market presence through exceptional technical sales in protein expression solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations that highlight the capabilities and benefits of the protein expression portfolio.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Managers, and Field Application Scientists to pinpoint opportunities and formulate sales strategies.
• Foster ongoing relationships with existing clients while pursuing new business ventures.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and finalize complex sales deals.
• Convert customer requirements into customized solutions.
• Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to provide outstanding customer experiences.
• Meet sales objectives and broaden the protein expression market footprint.
• Support Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission to empower customers in creating a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.
• Advanced degree with 2 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in technical support, product quality assurance, technical sales, or a related field.
• Preferred areas of study include Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience with protein expression workflows, particularly in protein production, cloning, and purification techniques, with a focus on expression experience.
• Solid technical expertise in life sciences, cell biology, and related scientific fields.
• Strong sales capabilities complemented by analytical and strategic planning skills, including forecasting and conducting business reviews (MBRs, QBRs).
• Ability to assess market trends and the competitive environment.
• Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales objectives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively.
• Experience in developing and delivering technical training and product demonstrations.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% within the designated territory.
• A valid driver's license.
