This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Design and implement the migration from Android Kotlin to React Native using a brownfield/strangler fig strategy to minimize operational impact on-site.
• Define and document architectural design decisions as ADRs utilizing modular architectures (Clean Architecture / MVVM adapted to RN).
• Extend and adhere to the contracts of the monorepo (optimus-core) as the source of truth for types in TypeScript.
• Consume IoT data APIs and streams (AWS IoT Core / MQTT) prioritizing resilience, low latency, and efficient battery consumption on industrial devices.
• Implement robust offline-first capabilities (local caching, synchronization queues, and automatic retries) for production lines with variable connectivity.
• Integrate secure authentication schemes using AWS Cognito/OIDC and consume cloud services (API Gateway / Lambdas).
• Establish mobile security standards and regulatory compliance (secure token storage, hardening, and OWASP MASVS).
• Define and configure the automated mobile CI/CD pipeline (build, test, signing, and distribution via Firebase App Distribution or GitHub Actions).
• Implement shift-left testing practices (unit, integration, and E2E tests with Jest / RN Testing Library) and set up observability/crash reporting (Sentry/Crashlytics/CloudWatch).
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (Planning, Dailies, Refinements, Reviews, Retrospectives) and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Over 3 years of proven experience in native mobile development using Android (Kotlin).
• Demonstrable practical experience in migration or modernization processes of mobile applications in brownfield environments (not only greenfield projects).
• Solid and advanced knowledge in React Native: TypeScript, hooks, React Navigation, and global state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or MobX).
• Experience in implementing local storage strategies (SQLite, Realm, AsyncStorage, or MMKV) and offline-first synchronization logic.
• Experience in integration with REST APIs, distributed architectures, and authentication protocols (OAuth2 / OIDC / JWT / Cognito).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred: API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
• Configuration of Mobile CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or CircleCI) along with testing frameworks (Jest and React Native Testing Library).
• Advanced technical English for reading documentation, architectural specifications, and code repositories.
• Desirable
• Previous experience within the Industrial IoT sector, automation, or integration with sensors, SCADA systems, or MES.
• Business understanding oriented towards manufacturing, OEE metrics, and plant KPIs (availability, performance, quality, downtimes, scrap).
• Practical experience with MQTT protocols and AWS IoT Core / AWS IoT Greengrass / edge computing.
• Development of custom native modules (bridges) and performance optimization on industrial-grade Android devices.
• Experience working in Monorepo structures managed with Turborepo, pnpm, or NX.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in industrial environments (ISO 27001, IEC 62443).
• Long-term commitment, with autonomy and impact.
• Strategic role with high visibility in a modern engineering culture.
• Collaborative international team and strong technical leadership.
• Career plan, growth, and leadership within Coderio.
