Senior ML Engineer – Search, LLM Ops

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the next generation of search and recommendation intelligence.

• Take ownership of the entire machine learning lifecycle, from concept and data analysis to model deployment.

• Spearhead the comprehensive design, development, and deployment of ranking algorithms and retrieval models.

• Refine and adapt language models for domain-specific semantic search applications.

• Apply semantic embedding techniques such as binary, matryoshka, and late interaction models.

• Design and implement recommender systems that enhance user experience and promote engagement and content discovery.

• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Investigate and assess new trends and academic research in machine learning, NLP, and information retrieval.

• Create prototypes for innovative ideas to sustain the company’s competitive advantage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in building and deploying machine learning models in production, specifically in Information Retrieval, Search, or Recommender Systems.

• Proficient programming skills in Python.

• Familiarity with SQL or other query languages.

• In-depth knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Experience with Scikit-learn and Hugging Face.

• Practical experience with vector databases.

• Outstanding quantitative and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong statistical and mathematical reasoning applied to intricate real-world challenges.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Capability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.

• Legal working status in Europe is required.

• Bonus: Experience in the financial sector.
