Senior Millwork Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather, compute, and assemble data for conceptual and bid proposal estimates.

• Ensure that quantity surveys and pricing are accurate and comprehensive.

• Aid in the development of bidding strategies by debriefing sales on project elements.

• Oversee project documentation management and communicate decisions to sales and operations teams.

• Attend pre-bid meetings to discuss project details and scope.

• Engage in bid closings and estimate reviews.

• Manage workload and assignments effectively to meet deadlines.

• Create value analysis studies and identify cost-effective alternatives to proposed scopes.

• Handle post-bid action items and finalize ISEC scope.

• Calculate cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities, requirements, and labor.

• Direct activities and provide recommendations and solutions.

• Assist in the development and mentoring of Level 1 and 2 estimators.

• May potentially supervise multiple direct reports.

• Support hiring processes and conduct performance reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience.

• Must meet all minimum qualifications of Estimator I and II.

• Demonstrated high-level estimating strategy and proactive project engagement.

• Capability to hold others accountable and independently close bids.

• Knowledge of competitive and supplier information.

• Extensive supplier knowledge for thorough estimates.

• Advanced understanding of ISEC products, services, processes, and projects.

• Experience with multiple or larger projects with increased complexity and scope.

• Ability to make independent decisions and work autonomously.

• Strong problem-solving skills and mature judgment.

• Proficiency in directing activities and providing recommendations and solutions.

• Ability to assist in mentoring Level 1 and 2 estimators.

• May supervise multiple direct reports.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
