Senior Microsoft 365 User Adoption and Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and deliver training materials for end-users through various formats including virtual webinars, in-depth sessions, hands-on workshops, individual coaching, onboarding, build-a-thons, on-demand training, instructional videos, and static training resources.

• Collaborate closely with both technical and end-user colleagues across all levels of the organization.

• Act as a technical expert for Copilot, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, OneDrive for Business, and Viva Engage.

• Address functional inquiries and offer guidance on the integration of Microsoft 365 services within Advocate Health governance policies.

• Investigate new and deprecated features of Microsoft tenants and provide management with appropriate recommendations.

• Design, implement, and oversee Active Directory domains, user accounts, group policies, and associated identity services.

• Architect, deploy, and manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including aspects of hybrid identity, federation, conditional access, and integration with on-premises Active Directory.

• Administer and enhance Microsoft 365 services.

• Manage identity, permissions, licensing, and access controls throughout the Microsoft ecosystem.

• Lead migrations from legacy systems to Microsoft 365, encompassing tenant configuration, data migration, and deployment of new services.

• Diagnose and conduct root-cause analysis for complex identity and collaboration challenges.

• Monitor platform performance and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency.

• Establish and enhance security measures for identity, access, data protection, and collaboration services.

• Ensure Microsoft environments comply with regulatory, privacy, and organizational standards.

• Partner with IT teams and business stakeholders on enterprise collaboration projects.

• Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational protocols.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to associate- and mid-level engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of practical experience in Microsoft 365 applications training and support.

• At least 2 years of instructional design experience in a technical environment.

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of five years in IT with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365.

• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 technologies.

• Proven experience in Active Directory administration and management.

• Familiarity with Windows Server, Group Policy, and associated technologies.

• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation tasks.

• Thorough understanding of identity and access management principles, including authentication, authorization, and conditional access.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to function both independently and as part of a team.

• Must reside in one of the designated eligible U.S. states.
