This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary Medical Staff Office liaison for the local Chief Medical Officer (CMO), medical staff leadership, committees, sections, and departments.

• Offer Medical Staff Office resources to ensure the continuity of medical staff organizational activities.

• Engage in various hospital committees as deemed appropriate.

• Execute all responsibilities related to the local medical staff office.

• Collaborate closely with the system credentialing office concerning initial appointments and provider reappointments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

• At least 1 year of experience in medical staff and/or credentialing functions.

• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM) and/or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) within the certification eligibility timeframe.

• Strong capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team, including peers and medical staff leaders/members.

• Proven knowledge of Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards related to Medical Staff Services is preferred.

• All employees are required to be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.

• All employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year of hiring and annually thereafter, or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption.
