This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the scientific and clinical authority for a designated region.
• Present Artiva’s scientific and clinical findings to the medical community.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Medical Science Liaisons to implement the national field medical strategy.
• Facilitate pre-commercial and launch readiness initiatives.
• Assess, refine, and prioritize regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) while pinpointing new academic researchers, community clinicians, and advocacy stakeholders.
• Identify and prioritize high-volume rheumatology practices and influential community providers.
• Lead in-depth scientific discussions regarding the therapeutic pipeline, mechanisms of action, and intricate clinical data.
• Assist with medical advisory boards, symposia, and clinical training sessions.
• Deliver clinical presentations, support Investigator-Initiated Trials, and promote engagement in clinical trial sites.
• Address unsolicited medical information requests in a compliant and objective manner.
• Identify potential clinical trial sites, aid in feasibility assessments, and encourage participant enrollment.
• Compile clinical insights and competitive intelligence into actionable Medical Strategy recommendations.
• Work alongside Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, Translational/Early R&D, Clinical Operations, Marketing, and Market Access teams on launch readiness and scientific messaging.
• Represent Artiva at significant medical congresses and implement congress strategies.
• Oversee pre-congress preparations and session coverage.
• Assist in data dissemination and maintain a presence at medical booths/displays.
• Collect, analyze, and relay actionable field intelligence to Commercial and R&D teams.
• Provide internal medical and scientific training, including for field sales teams.
• Mentor early-career Medical Science Liaisons.
• At least 4 years of experience in Medical Science Liaison or Medical Affairs; 6+ years preferred.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Direct involvement in KOL mapping validation, KOL engagement, HCP scientific exchange, advisory boards, medical insights, and competitive intelligence.
• Formal training and practical experience in Immunology and/or Inflammation.
• PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent scientific background is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a highly external, travel-intensive position.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time.
• Strong comprehension of Medical Affairs compliance and scientific exchange standards.
• Outstanding communication abilities and capacity to engage credibly with leading physicians and researchers.
• Experience in early- to mid-stage biotech is preferred.
• Experience supporting clinical-stage programs, pre-launch activities, or Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) is preferred.
• Experience in rheumatology, immunology, and/or cell therapy is preferred.
