This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.
• Act as a scientific liaison to the medical and scientific community.
• Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with leading experts and clinicians across the United States.
• Collaborate and engage with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision-makers, and pharmacy directors.
• Convey scientific and medical information along with the commercial value of products to medical communities and key stakeholders.
• Gather, integrate, and relay customer feedback effectively.
• Align customers' unmet needs with available internal resources.
• Work together with various functional areas to seize opportunities using scientific, medical, and health economic information.
• Identify potential new speakers and provide training on scientific content for sponsored external speaker programs.
• Engage in national and regional conferences, meetings, and scientific events.
• Collect competitive information, track clinical trends, and maintain connections with key investigators and scientific researchers.
• Assess external clinical research collaboration opportunities.
• Facilitate externally initiated clinical trials and company-sponsored trials.
• Keep an eye on competitive advancements, trends, products, and features in therapeutic areas.
• Offer insights to senior leadership regarding competitor initiatives.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. is preferred; other doctoral degrees will be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in a medical science liaison role within a biotech or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal abilities, including networking proficiency.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% for territory management, regional and national conferences/workshops, and company meetings.
• Capacity to work up to 15-hour days during travel when necessary.
• Adaptability in learning new business applications across various hardware tools such as PC and iPad.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Professional and proactive demeanor.
• Strong interpersonal capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
