Senior Medical School Admissions Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with aspiring medical school candidates to help them discover opportunities to enhance their profiles and create impactful medical school application materials.

• Cultivate relationships with applicants and their families, offering strategic and tactical advice on medical school selection, personal statements, resumes, recommendations, interviews, and the entire medical school admissions journey.

• Identify the most suitable medical programs and schools for each student; provide insights and guidance on their research regarding university programs and relevant admissions resources, ensuring alignment with the student’s background and aspirations.

• Assist students in project planning, managing application timelines, and tracking progress through internal organizational tools.

• Stay informed about the medical school admissions landscape and programs to effectively advise both prospective and current clients on suitable school choices and the intricacies of the application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Admissions Committee Experience: Must have served on a medical school admissions committee or board, with a background in reviewing applications and making acceptance or rejection decisions, providing valuable insights into the selection process.

• Completion of an MD or DO degree.

• 5–7 years of experience in education, coaching, tutoring, or medical school admissions consulting.

• A strong passion for coaching.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

• Proficient English reading, writing, and editing skills, particularly in crafting medical school essays and personal statements.

• Strong verbal communication abilities.

• Expertise in project management and applicant tracking.
