
Senior Medical Editor – Healthcare Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in the content review process by editing project materials for spelling, grammar, consistency, tone, adherence to creative briefs, client and AMA style, and accurate referencing.
• Partake in the development phase to ensure uniformity in content and presentation outlines.
• Collaborate with authors, account management, clinical writers, account teams, production, and other personnel on content revisions and project finalization.
• Represent the department during internal startup and status meetings.
• Ensure that materials comply with each client's MLR submission procedures and support MLR activities.
• Create and uphold editorial style guides for use across departments.
• Mentor and train department staff and other partners as necessary.
• Assist in the preparation of medical/legal/regulatory submissions.
• Write and develop internal or corporate materials as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of editing experience within the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of AMA 11th edition style.
• Experience in editing both print and digital materials as well as managing the routing of electronic files.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with editing using Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Demonstrated editorial experience in an agency setting.
• Strong enthusiasm for health and medicine.
• Capability to proofread and edit medical marketing materials with precision.
• Knowledge of MLR guidelines, client style guides, sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar.
• Ability to fact-check medical and pharmaceutical content effectively.
• Competence in managing multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in advertising, pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, and/or medical education.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Veeva, Zinc, or MLR submission systems.
• Preferred: Understanding of FDA regulations for pharmaceutical advertising.
