Senior Marketing Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the marketing strategy encompassing email, paid, social, experiential, and PR channels.

• Transform client business objectives into actionable channel plans for specialized teams to implement.

• Establish the creative vision and content direction for marketing campaigns.

• Regularly analyze performance data to identify issues promptly, allowing for timely resolutions.

• Compose client-facing analyses and recommendations that clarify outcomes, reasons, and proposed actions.

• Advocate for and implement adjustments when strategies do not yield desired results.

• Develop and uphold brand playbooks.

• Ensure the agency remains proactive in response to platform and trend changes.

• Contribute to defining the rhythm, standards, and role of strategy across various accounts.

• Utilize and enhance AI agents for research, operational tasks, data gathering, and drafting initial content.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in marketing strategy, preferably on the agency side, managing multiple accounts concurrently.

• A comprehensive understanding of social media, email, paid advertising, SEO, and video, with significant expertise in at least one or two areas.

• Proficient in working with marketing data, analyzing performance metrics, and effectively communicating results to the team.

• Confident in handling performance data and adept at using GA4 and analytics dashboards independently.

• Familiarity with AI tools for content generation and workflow enhancement.

• Excellent writing skills.

• Sound judgment to recognize ineffective approaches, backed by evidence.

• Nice to have: experience in video strategy for retainers and campaigns.

• Nice to have: SEO/GEO expertise, especially as generative search alters user discovery methods.

• Nice to have: experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones.

• Availability to work at least 5 hours overlapping with Miami, FL, USA time zone.
