Senior Medical Copywriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Convert intricate medical and scientific ideas into straightforward, concise writing.

• Develop branded healthcare professional (HCP) campaign materials, which include websites, detail aids, leave-behinds, and emails.

• Produce HCP medical education campaign materials, encompassing slide decks, invitations, workbooks, and other collateral.

• Guide brand strategy and copy development with minimal supervision.

• Oversee the editorial process from initial draft to final proof, ensuring both accuracy and quality.

• Collaborate with design, strategy, account, and project management teams.

• Guarantee that all content aligns with brand guidelines and adheres to US regulatory and industry standards.

• Advocate for copy and strategic viewpoints during client meetings.

• Handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Research and produce content for proposals and pitch presentations.

• Remain informed about the latest trends in medical education and the US pharmaceutical sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree or PhD in a scientific field.

• Over 5 years of experience in medical writing.

• Experience in a healthcare professional pharmaceutical advertising agency.

• Proficiency in claim development and substantiation.

• Ability to work comfortably across various therapeutic areas and lifecycle stages, from pre-launch to brand maintenance.

• Strong skills in presentation and pitching.

• Comprehensive understanding of FDA promotional regulations and the PhRMA Code regarding interactions with healthcare professionals.

• High proficiency with Veeva/PromoMats.

• Exceptional attention to detail, quality, and version control.

• Strong time management skills in fast-paced, deadline-oriented settings.

• Availability to work from 9 am to 5 pm within the US East Coast timezone.

• Extensive knowledge of US regulations, including FDA promotional regulations and the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals.
