Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical coordination of the mechanical package during the project execution.

• Facilitate client meetings and manage all communications related to mechanical engineering.

• Administer technical submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and design reviews.

• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and CSA interfaces to guarantee smooth installation.

• Create and evaluate commissioning documentation for mechanical systems.

• Draft and assess method statements and risk assessments.

• Track installation progress and ensure adherence to the project schedule.

• Aid in cost management, change control, and variation evaluations.

• Propel the completion of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and handover documentation.

• Provide support and mentorship to Mechanical Engineers and Package Managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering mechanical packages for large-scale construction projects, including data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, industrial sites, or other critical developments.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical commissioning, technical submittals, and RFI management.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple projects while ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.

• A proactive mindset with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to professional excellence.
