Senior Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the mechanical engineering execution of medium to large material handling and conveyor projects.

• Act as the main mechanical engineering technical resource for clients, project teams, vendors, and field personnel.

• Evaluate project scope, customer specifications, system designs, and contract requirements to ensure successful implementation.

• Perform system design, 3D modeling, and constructability assessments while addressing technical and installation challenges.

• Create and uphold engineering schedules that align with project milestones and installation deadlines.

• Administer mechanical engineering deliverables, change orders, material requisitions, and drawing approvals.

• Synchronize engineering efforts with Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and Field Installation.

• Guide and assist Project Engineers and designers by offering technical advice and mentorship.

• Assess engineering drawings for quality, precision, and adherence to standards.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing engineering quality, customer satisfaction, and project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.

• 6–10 years of experience in engineering for material handling or conveyor systems.

• Proven experience in leading medium to large engineering projects.

• Strong understanding of conveyor systems, mechanical design, and engineering standards.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor; familiarity with Navisworks, BIM, and Microsoft Project is advantageous.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, schedule-oriented environment.
