This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist in proposal development by generating deliverable lists, estimating engineering hours, and supplying mechanical engineering insights for proposal documentation.
• Act as the principal mechanical engineer for medium to large-scale projects.
• Oversee the creation of deliverables, manage junior mechanical engineering personnel, and coordinate efforts with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with project management and other teams on design tasks, changes in scope, engineering budget considerations, and scheduling challenges.
• Execute and validate engineering calculations, which include equipment sizing, hydraulic assessments, and pipe stress evaluations.
• Facilitate the equipment procurement process, encompassing the creation of specifications and data sheets, obtaining quotes, completing technical bid comparisons, and reviewing vendor data for equipment.
• Conduct occasional site visits for proposal development, project inspections, field data collection, design validation, and construction support.
• Assist the design team in developing the project model and system configurations.
• Support the Chief Mechanical Engineer in distributing workloads among junior engineers and planning manpower needs.
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior engineers.
• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience or a proven equivalent of experience and/or education.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Knowledge of design, industrial processes, and energy-related projects.
• Experience in industrial and/or energy sectors.
• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
• Over 9 years of experience in industrial and/or energy-related fields (Preferred).
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, PIP, ANSI, ASTM, etc. (Preferred).
• Proficiency with engineering calculation software tools (e.g., Pipe-Flo, Applied Flow Technology Fathom, CAESAR II) (Preferred).
