Senior Mechanical Construction Estimator – HVAC, Plumbing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop precise and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems within construction projects.

• Examine project plans and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and necessary materials.

• Collaborate with project teams to create thorough cost management strategies.

• Evaluate project requirements and offer value engineering alternatives.

• Conduct cost risk assessments and contribute to value engineering efforts.

• Communicate and engage with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

• Employ industry-specific estimating software and tools to generate estimates.

• Provide estimating advice, support, and analysis to project stakeholders.

• Stay current with industry-specific estimating processes and methodologies.

• Compile formal estimating reports, including quantities, costs, escalation, and other assumptions and clarifications.

• Aid in the formulation of estimating standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.

• Enjoys working in a client-facing capacity.

• Experience in supporting large-scale construction projects and programs.

• Strong understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, including value management and value engineering.

• Excellent communication skills.
