Senior Mask Design Engineer – Hardware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Package Technical Lead and design teams to create and develop intricate layouts for silicon interposers for NVIDIA products.

• Coordinate with design teams to establish timelines and address cost, manufacturing, and electrical design challenges.

• Work cross-functionally with the package technical lead, I/O signal integrity engineers, and technology engineers to deliver packaging solutions under tight deadlines.

• Execute physical layout for silicon interposers using Cadence tools.

• Perform feasibility studies on design, assessing package design objectives regarding size, cost, and system performance.

• Analyze layout floorplans and conduct custom layout and verification against design rules and netlists.

• Recommend layout design trade-offs to the Package Technical Lead for resolution and execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

• Have a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated experience in mask and layout design.

• Hold a comprehensive understanding of layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies.

• Be proficient with Cadence layout tools, especially Virtuoso.

• Familiarity with Integrity auto-routing is an advantage.

• Experience in running and debugging verification tools such as Calibre, ICV, and Thunder.

• Competence in scripting languages like Perl, Python, and SKILL.

• Understanding of DRC and LVS checking processes.

• Capability to customize verification decks.

• Familiarity with the APD package layout tool is a plus.

• A solid understanding of packaging technology is beneficial.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
