This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Act as the technical steward for BECU’s MarTech ecosystem: Oversee platform configuration, integration methodologies, data flows, and implementation standards to guarantee long-term scalability, stability, and supportability.
• Design and construct advanced journeys and automation: Create and enhance intricate workflows, including audience qualification, orchestration rules, timing strategies, and cross-channel execution.
• Facilitate large-scale personalization: Set up advanced targeting, content rules, and decision-making logic; collaborate with channel and content teams to operationalize personalization while ensuring data quality and compliance.
• Architect and sustain integrations: Implement and support connections between Salesforce Marketing Cloud, data platforms, CDPs, personalization tools, and other related systems—ensuring precise, observable, and governed data flows.
• Maintain platform health and quality: Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, perform QA and audience validation, and proactively identify risks to safeguard campaign accuracy, data integrity, and member trust.
• Collaborate across functions: Work closely with Marketing, MarTech, Data, IT, and Compliance stakeholders to develop use cases, assess trade-offs, manage dependencies, and align solutions with enterprise standards.
• Assist with campaign execution as necessary: Be ready to assist during high-volume periods to help build, validate, and launch campaigns, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Encourage experimentation and innovation: Test new tools, features, and use cases—assessing feasibility, implementation effort, risk, and value before broader adoption.
• Provide expert guidance and best practices: Offer technical insights, architectural recommendations, and best practices to marketing and operations partners—acting as a subject-matter expert without formal management responsibilities.
• Set standards and guidelines: Maintain implementation standards, documentation, and controls that promote consistent, compliant use of marketing technology across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Marketing Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in marketing technology, automation, or MarTech implementation roles.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing complex MarTech implementations as a senior individual contributor.
• Extensive expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (e.g., Email Studio, Journey Builder, data modeling, automation).
• Strong background in designing and supporting integrations, data flows, and audience architecture.
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar data querying tools.
• Experience coding emails and web components.
• Proven experience collaborating with data, IT, and compliance teams in regulated environments.
• Detail-oriented with strong QA, troubleshooting, and risk assessment capabilities.
• Ability to convert ambiguous business requirements into scalable, supportable technical solutions.
• Comfort influencing outcomes and shaping solutions without formal authority.
• Familiarity with CDP concepts and personalization technologies is preferred.
