Senior Marketing Manager, Direct to Consumer

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives aimed at driving direct-to-consumer growth, enhancing patient awareness, engagement, and activation.

• Establish audience strategies, messaging frameworks, and value propositions tailored to various disease states.

• Collaborate with business leaders to ensure patient engagement aligns with enterprise priorities.

• Design and implement compliant omnichannel DTC campaigns utilizing paid, owned, and earned media.

• Produce patient education materials, website content, videos, social media content, in-office materials, brochures, email journeys, and digital assets.

• Assist commercial teams with launch materials, guidance, and enabling resources.

• Conduct and utilize voice-of-customer research, market research, campaign analytics, and market intelligence.

• Assess patient advocacy partnerships, sponsorships, educational programs, and community engagement initiatives.

• Collaborate with patient advocacy organizations on compliant awareness, education, and engagement programs.

• Keep track of competitive advancements, healthcare marketing trends, patient education models, media channels, and digital engagement practices.

• Develop market comparisons, messaging guidance, objection-handling support, and internal educational tools.

• Ensure DTC programs adhere to Medical, Legal, and Regulatory standards and assist with MLR review and approval.

• Define, track, and report on reach, engagement, conversion, content, media, and business performance metrics.

• Optimize messaging, creative elements, channel strategy, segmentation, and investment allocation through analytics.

• Present campaign performance, audience trends, and strategic recommendations during business reviews.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• A Master's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, patient advocacy, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive marketing experience.

• Extensive experience leading DTC healthcare marketing programs for medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, pharmaceuticals, or disease awareness organizations.

• Proven experience in developing omnichannel marketing campaigns across digital, social, web, email, print, experiential, and healthcare POS channels.

• Experience in managing relationships with patient advocacy organizations, patient support groups, professional societies, or community-based health and social service organizations.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, storytelling, and executive influence abilities.

• Proven success in leading highly cross-functional initiatives.

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving business environment.

• Experience in engaging patients through DTC and partner-led channels, including advocacy organizations, health systems, providers, payers, employers, and community-based organizations.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create scalable DTC capabilities within regulated healthcare.

• Proven success in influencing strategic decisions through market intelligence, advocacy engagement, and cross-functional leadership.

• Comfortable navigating uncertainty while establishing frameworks, processes, and performance expectations.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare decision-making involving patients, providers, caregivers, clinical teams, operational stakeholders, and commercial partners.

• Experience in marketing connected medical devices, diagnostics, digital health solutions, AI-enabled healthcare technologies, or patient-facing healthcare services.

• Familiarity with patient access and resource hubs.

• Anticipated domestic travel of up to 20%.
